When and how?

Strategy

We’re following semantic versioning in Backyard UI with a MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH format for version numbers.

Major (X.0.0)

Contain new features, breaking changes, new design resources, etc. Don’t worry we’re providing migration guidelines for every major release.

Minor (1.X.0)

Contain new features in a backward compatible manner.

Patch (1.0.X)

Contain bug fixes and smaller changes.

Pre-releases (next-X.X.X)

They are release candidates, used to introduce future features, API design, catch bugs, etc.

We’re providing limited support for the outdated releases while providing the guidelines for smoother migration to the latest major releases.
